    Tradesmen

Delacon has created a solution to one of the biggest business problems.  That is the allocation of work and response to a customer interaction or request.

Tradesmen in action would be if your organization were in the business of dispatching large quantities of jobs (In the case of Government it could be a translation service where as in a Business environment it could be something as simple as a Tradesman's organization).

    So how does TRADESMEN work?

A customer has called in and requested a tradesman to come and fix a faulty water pipe. The operator logs the call and puts the job into the database.

Once the job has been logged Tradesmen then searches the database for all of those tradesmen that are recognized as having the requisite skills to fix a faulty water pipe. Now that Tradesmen has located those people the system will then send a broadcast SMS Text Message indicating that a job is available and to call the given number to enquire.

When the tradesman calls in they are welcomed by Tradesmen who then proceeds to validate the persons identity through a unique password or secure employee number. By talking into the phone the tradesman can select from the main menu the job category and the job type. Tradesmen will then search the database, locate the job for that category and verify if it is still available. If the job is still available Tradesmen will then read the full job details by translating the text the operator has entered into the system, to speech.

Once the job has been read the tradesman simply accepts. A confirmation is automatically sent and the organizations databases are  updated.

In some cases the job allocation will be "first in, first served" however the sophistication of the Tradesmen product also allows for an organization to provide a less random source of job allocation - for example

Tradesmen can recognize who the last person was to receive a job and simply allocate the new job to the next person on the list.

Tradesmen can also be used by organizations that provide customers with the ability to request information over the Internet. Once the request has been received Tradesmen will then allocate it to the most appropriate person in their organization - so instead of the request sitting in the IT department waiting to be allocated, Tradesmen will action the request straight away.
